Monday, September 26th, 2011 STRONG ARM ROBBERY – ARREST C11-202603 On September 24th, 2011, at approximately 11:35 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Donald Street and York Avenue regarding a strong arm robbery. The investigation has revealed that a 21 year old male victim had been confronted by a male suspect who demanded his property. The victim was assaulted causing a non-life threatening injury. The suspect fled the area on foot when members of the Winnipeg Police Service Cadet Unit observed the suspect enter a transit bus travelling northbound on Main Street. This information was related to Uniform Patrol members at which time the bus was located and stopped. A 16 year old male was arrested and charged with: Robbery with a Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon and Fail to Comply with Condition of an Undertaking. He was detained.
