Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Monday, September 26th, 2011    BODY LOCATED IN RIVER - UPDATE C11-203013 On Sunday, September 25th, 2011 just before 2:00 p.m., emergency services responders were dispatched to the river bank area near the 2100 block of Henderson Highway for a report of a body within the river.    Upon arrival, partial remains were located and removed from the water. The Winnipeg Police Service Underwater Search and Recovery Unit continue to investigate.    An autopsy is pending.     HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION - UPDATE C11-202815 As previously released, on Sunday, September 25th, 2011 at approximately 4:20 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service members responded to the area of Boyd Avenue and Andrews Street to check on the well being of a report of an injured male.
