COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – ARRESTS C11-184484
On June 21st, 2011, at approximately 3:00 a.m., two armed male youths, while concealing their identity attended to a convenience store located in the 1300 block of Main Street. They demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes and merchandise before fleeing the area. No one was injured during the incident.
 
On August 29th, 2011, at approximately 3:00 a.m., three armed male youths attended to a store located in the 500 block of Selkirk Avenue. All three suspects concealed their identity and confronted an employee. They fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise. No one was injured.
 
On August 31st, 2011, at approximately 9:30 p.m., three male youths attended to a grocery store located in the 600 block of Stella Avenue. The suspects were armed, and again concealed their identities. An undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes were stolen. No one was injured during the incident.
 
On the same date at approximately 11:00 p.m., three male youths and one female youth attended to a convenience store located in the 800 block of Arlington Street. As the suspects approached the business, a police cruiser attended to the area. While officers were attempting to make contact with the youths, all four suspects fled the area, making good their escape.
 
A short time later, two of the male youth suspects returned to the business and robbed the store clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. No injuries occurred. Uniform members including members of the Canine Unit were deployed, resulting in the arrest of all four suspects.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Section.
 
A 16 year old male has been charged with: Robbery with a Weapon x 4 and Disguise with Intent x 4. He was detained.
 
A 15 year old male has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon x 3 and Disguise with intent x 3. He was detained.
 
A 14 year old male has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon x 3 and Disguise with intent x 3. He was detained.
 
A 13 year old female is facing charges of: Robbery with a Weapon and Disguise with Intent. She was released on a Promise to Appear.
