Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, October 20, 2012     MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING A PEDESTRIAN C12-212153 On October 20, 2012, at approximately 6:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Salter Street and Alfred Avenue regarding the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.   An injured 26 year old male was located and transported from the scene in critical condition. He is now in stable condition.   Members of the Central Traffic Unit were notified and attended the scene. As a result of the investigation, Salter Street was closed to traffic for a period of time. It has since re-opened.   Investigators continue to investigate the cause of the collision.   Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police at 204 986-6271.      For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
