SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION C12-212732
On October 20, 2012, at approximately 11:40 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Polson Avenue and Airlies Street.
 
At this stage of the investigation, it appears that a Chevrolet Cobalt was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck. As a result of the collision, an adult male driver of the Cobalt was transported from the scene in critical condition. An adult male passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The driver of the F150 fled the scene on foot.
 
Traffic Collision Investigators were notified and continue to investigate.  
 
The roadway previously closed is now open to traffic. 
 
 
SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION C12-212901
On October 21, 2012, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service members and members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the 200 block of Henderson Highway due to a single motor vehicle collision.
 
The investigation has revealed that an adult male driver of a vehicle travelling southbound on Henderson Highway lost control. The vehicle struck a tree and came to rest on its roof.
 
The driver is in critical condition.
 
Henderson Highway remains closed between Martin Avenue West and Carmen Avenue. Motorists are requested to avoid the area.
 
Members of the Central Traffic Unit continue to investigate.
