HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UPDATE – ARREST
C12-177621
As previously released - on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at approximately 8:00 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue regarding a serious assault.
 
Responding members located an injured 16 year old male who had been assaulted. Due to the serious nature of the assault, the victim succumbed to injuries sustained.
 
As previously acknowledged, Michael James GUIMOND, 34 years, Richard Daniel BEAULIEU, 36 years and Warner Dairren FLETT, 24 years were arrested and charged with Manslaughter due to their alleged involvement.
 
On Saturday, October 13, 2012, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Gregory James MYERION, 37 years of Winnipeg was located in the area of Main Street and Pritchard Avenue where he was arrested and taken into custody. He has been charged with Manslaughter due to his alleged involvement. He has been detained in custody.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit.

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C12-207235
On Saturday, October 13, 2012 at approximately 10:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 1400 block of Inkster Boulevard regarding a commercial robbery of a gas station.
 
An investigation revealed that two male suspects armed with a weapon attended the gas station and confronted two male employees, ages 33 and 35. The suspects demanded cash but fled from location without receiving any.
 
The victims were not injured as a result of the incident.
 
Suspect #1 is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, 25 - 30 years old, 5'6" tall with a medium build.
 
Suspect #2 is described as: Male, approximately 6'1" – 6'3" tall.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C12-207262
On Saturday, October 13, 2012 at approximately 10:50 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 3000 block of Ness Avenue regarding a commercial robbery of a retail store.
 
Attending members learned that a male armed with a weapon attended the store and confronted two male employees, ages 17 and 18. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cigarettes before fleeing from the location.
 
The victims were not injured as a result of the incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance, approximately 25 years old, 5'10" – 5'11" tall with a thin build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
