COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST C12-215540
On Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at approximately 7:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 700 block of St. Mary's Road for the report of a commercial robbery.
 
An investigation revealed that a lone male armed with a weapon attended a restaurant and confronted an 18 year old male employee and a 24 year old female employee. The male demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the restaurant.
 
The victims were not injured as a result of this incident.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 20-25 years old, approximately 240 pounds.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY ARREST   C12-215675
On Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at approximately 11:15 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 1800 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a commercial robbery of a gas station.
 
Attending members learned that a lone male armed with a knife and wearing a disguise attended to the gas station and confronted two 17 year old male employees. The male suspect demanded cash but did not receive any. The suspect then stole cigarettes and fled from the location.
 
Responding General Patrol Members immediately searched the area and located the suspect at Amherst Street and Portage Avenue where he was arrested and taken into custody. A knife was recovered.
 
Further investigation revealed that the same suspect, on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at approximately 10:50 p.m., attended to the area of the 300 block of Wardlaw Avenue where he allegedly committed a commercial robbery of a gas station.
 
The suspect armed with a weapon and wearing a disguise attended to the location and confronted a 40 year old female employee. The suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the gas station. He was not apprehended at that time.
 
Christian WILSON, 21 years of Winnipeg has been charged with: Robbery with Weapon X 2, Disguise with Intent X 2 and Fail to Comply with Condition of Recognizance X 5.
 
He has been detained in custody.
 
 
ARSON ARREST C12-215763
On Thursday, October 25, 2012, at approximately 1:20 a.m., General Patrol Members while patrolling in the area of Salter Street and Dufferin Avenue observed a large amount of smoke in the area of Flora Avenue and Powers Street.
 
The members attended to the area and located a detached garage in the 400 block of Stella Avenue engulfed in flames along with a vehicle parked adjacent to the garage.
 
Responding members located a second vehicle that was also on fire in the vicinity of the 500 block of Stella Avenue. A male suspect was seen fleeing from the fire and was apprehended by responding members. The male was arrested and taken into custody.
 
The total value of damage to property is estimated at approximately $16,000 dollars.
 
John Percy Patrick ST PAUL, 18 years of Winnipeg has been charged with: Arson- Damage to Property X 2 and Breach of Probation X 2.
 
He was detained in custody.
