Our Budget, Forward 2015 "Let's talk Priorities, Volume 7"

Our Budget Forward - 2015 Budget

Spending wisely, meeting collective needs, creating the future we want

Over the summer we have been reviewing and analyzing the input received from Winnipeggers to date from the Our Budget, Forward engagement process. Earlier this summer we released the "first volume of What We Heard" from our engagement about your priorities. You can now find the second and final volume from this phase of engagement online at Winnipeg.ca/2015Budget.

Designing The Process Let's Talk Priorities Let's Talk Choices
March - April 2014 May - June 2014 November 2014

With Our Budget, Forward we want to start the process of linking the future we want with the spending choices that are being made today. We think budgets are a tool to achieve a sustainable future and to deliver services that make a difference in people's lives. In this volume of What We Heard, you'll find ideas and thoughts about how we make wise spending choices, services that make a difference in the lives of Winnipeggers, levels of service and what we need more of, less of or do in a different way.

Here's some of the many voices we've heard, you can find much more in What We Heard...
"We benefit as a city when we make it possible for all to participate in activities that stimulate us emotionally, physically and intellectually... This helps us all take a sense of "ownership" and responsibility for making our city a safe and welcoming place to live"

"Good online info about snow clearing schedule"

"Bureaucracy is too big to make local decisions – make communities/create community captains"

Budget Talks, Hosted by Fort Garry Community Network Budget Talks, Hosted by Chamber of Commerce Budget Talks, Hosted by Councillor Gerbasi

Watch for additional opportunities to participate coming in November, when Phase 3 Let's Talk Choices launches. You will have the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons of different options and provide your thoughts and feedback on specific solutions and choices.
