Stabbing Investigation Update – Second Arrest - C14-177288
As previously released, on August 21, 2014 at approximately 1:00 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a business in the area of Carlton Street and Graham Avenue regarding a stabbing incident.
 
The investigation had revealed that a 19 year-old male was standing on a patio when he was approached by a group of males. One of the males punched the victim, while another stabbed him in the lower body.
 
The suspects fled and police were notified.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit who were able to identify the two suspects.
 
On September 2, 2014, Henry LE, 24 years of Winnipeg was located and arrested without incident in the 100 block of Main Street.  He was charged with Aggravated Assault for his alleged involvement and detained in custody.
 
On September 4, 2014 the second suspect was located and arrested without incident.
 
Eldrine Lising MONTON, 28 years of Winnipeg has been charged with Assault and Fail to Comply with Probation Order for his alleged involvement.  He was detained in custody.
 
 
Suspicious Person – C14-188522
On September 4, 2014 shortly after 2:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a suspicious male.
 
Officers met with the 9 year old complainant who related that at approximately 12:30 she and her brother had been walking to school in the 1000 block of Ducharme Avenue when she noticed an unknown male walking behind them.  As her brother headed off towards his own school, she continued on, crossing Ducharme near Houde Drive.  It was at this time that the male approached her, asking if she wanted to help look for his dog.  She did not answer and immediately ran to school where she notified staff.
 
The male is described as: Unknown race, 30-40 years of age, 5'10" tall with short, brown hair.  He was wearing a red hoodie and black shorts.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the West District Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2877 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
