Sexual Assaults Arrest – C14-186115 C14-186119
On September 1, 2014 members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to two separate incidents where adult females were approached while on City Transit and groped by an unknown male. 
 
The initial incident occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m. when a female travelling on transit in the area of Portage Avenue and Balmoral Street was approached by unknown male and groped in the lower body. The victim moved seats and reported the incident to police.
 
At approximately 12:30 p.m., while travelling on transit westbound on Portage Avenue, a similar circumstance occurred where a female was groped. Police were called and responded to the area of Polo Park.
 
A male matching the description given by both victims was located and arrested by Division 11 Patrol members.
 
A 54 year-old male is facing the following charges:
 
Sexual Assault x 2
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear.
