Sexual Assault – C14-196004
On September 14, 2014 shortly before 6:00 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched for the report of a sexual assault.
 
A 25-year-old victim related to officers that at approximately 5:30 a.m. she had been walking eastbound on Euclid Street.  It was at this time she was approached by an unknown male on a bicycle who struck up a conversation with her.  As they got to the area of Barber Street and Prince Edward Street the suspect grabbed the victim and proceeded to sexually assault her after which he fled on his bicycle.
 
The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition.
 
The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 30-40 years of age, 5'6" tall with a medium build and long black wavy hair.  He was wearing dark coloured clothing and was riding a red bicycle with no seat.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6245 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
