Stolen Vehicle Arrests – C14-186588
On September 2, 2014 at approximately 2:20 a.m., a male suspect attended to the 700 block of Coventry Road and entered an unlocked parked vehicle (Ford F150).
 
The suspect managed to start the vehicle and drive off. A second male entered the stolen truck in the area of Elmhurst Road. The two suspects located a key within the vehicle and returned to the same area where the truck was stolen. It appears that the males were attempting to identify if the found key matched another vehicle parked in the area.
 
While in the area, the owner confronted the suspects at which time they fled in the stolen truck.
 
West District Patrol members and Air1 responded. The suspects abandoned the truck in the area of the 1200 block of Edderton Avenue. As a result of coordinated efforts by Air1 and Patrol members, both suspect were located and arrested.
 
A 16 year-old male has been charged with the following and detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre:
 
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00
Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
Fail to Comply with Disposition
HTA – Drive Carelessly
HTA – Drive without or Invalid License    
 
An 18 year-old male is facing the following charges and released on a Promise to Appear:
 
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.00
Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana
