Stabbing Arrests – C14-202241
On September 22, 2014 shortly before 1:00 a.m. emergency personnel were dispatched to the 700 block of Stella Avenue for the report of a male having been stabbed.
 
Upon arrival, a 53 year old male was found to be suffering from upper body injuries.  He was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.
 
Two females were arrested at the scene without incident.
 
The investigation continued by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  It was revealed that earlier in the evening, the victim and one of the suspects, a sex trade worker, had entered into an agreement for services.  The victim and suspect drove to a residence in the 700 block of Stella Avenue where the second suspect was already present.  Shortly before the assault occurred, the second suspect had attended to the victim's vehicle and broke into it, stealing property belonging to the victim.  She then returned to the house, armed herself with a weapon and demanded the victim's bank PIN.  The victim refused and while attempting to leave he was assaulted by both suspects.
 
Lisa Anne MCNEILLY, 28 years and Liberty Devine Indigo ROWLAND, 30 years, both from Winnipeg have been charged with Robbery, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Theft Under $5000 and Mischief Under $5000 for their alleged involvement.
 
They were detained in custody.
 
 
Stolen Vehicles Arrests – C14-199827
Between May 30, 2014 and September 18, 2014 the Winnipeg Police Service became aware of numerous reports of stolen vehicles and license plates occurring in and around the city.  Several investigations were initiated by the Service as well as by members of the R.C.M.P.  As a result of these investigations, a suspect was identified.
 
On September 18 shortly before midnight the suspect was located in the 700 block of Laxdal Drive.  At that time, he was in possession of 2014 Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen earlier that day in Oakbluff, MB.  The license plate on the vehicle had been reported stolen from a vehicle in the River Heights area of the city on September 10.
 
The suspect and a passenger were arrested without incident.
 
Members of the East District Crime Unit continued with the investigation.
 
Kyle Charles BICKFORD, 24 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for his alleged involvement:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 x2
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000x4
  • Theft Under $5000 x 2
  • Use of Credit Card x 3
  • Possession of Credit Card x 2
  • Possession of an Identity Document x 2
  • Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of Break in Instruments
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 2
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance x 4

Juanita Florentine Marie NAGAM 26 years of Winnipeg has been charged with the following for her alleged involvement:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000x4
  • Possession of Credit Card x 2
  • Possession of an Identity Document x 2
  • Possession of Prohibited Device or Ammunition
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance – Cannabis (Marihuana)
  • Possession of Break in Instruments
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance x 3

Both were detained in custody.
