Residential Break & Enter Arrests – C14-193565
On September 11, 2014 shortly after 3:00 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of an attempted residential break & enter to a garage in the 1st 100 block of Malibu Road.
                                                          
Several units, including canine, attended to the area.  Two suspects were located and arrested without incident in the 1st 100 block of Fairgrove Bay.
 
Members of the District 3 Crime Unit continued with the investigation which revealed that the suspects were responsible for 5 other incidents in the area earlier that night.  They include:

  • 400 block of Egesz Street – shed broken into, nothing stolen
  • 1st 100 block of Alsip Drive – garage entered, mountain bike stolen
  • 1st 100 block of Alsip Drive – garage & shed entered, nothing stolen
  • 1st 100 block of Malibu Road – garage broken into, mountain bike stolen
  • 1st 100 block of Malibu Road – garage broken into, unknown items stolen

Two male youths, 16 & 17 years of age from Winnipeg have both been charged with Break, Enter & Theft x 6 & Possession of Break-in Instruments for their alleged involvement.  The 16-year-old has also been charged with Fail to Comply Condition Undertaking
 
Both were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
