Saturday, September 13, 2014   Sexual Assault Investigation – C14-195217 On September 13, 2014 shortly after 4:30 a.m. the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the 100 block of Henry Avenue.   Officers met with the 21 year old victim who advised that at approximately 4:00 a.m. she had been on Henry Avenue where she was assaulted by an unknown male.  This male proceeded to drag the victim a short distance away where he then committed a serious sexual assault upon her.  A bystander, hearing the victim's cries for help, came to her aid at which time the suspect fled.   The victim was transported to hospital in stable condition.   The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-30 years of age with a skinny build and short black hair.  He was wearing green/grey outerwear and black jeans.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.
