Public Mischief – Arrests
On March 28, 2014, members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a call for service at a residence located in the 500 block of Mountain Avenue.  As a result of this call for service, two suspects were taken into custody and charged with:  Assault Peace Officer.

On April 22, 2014, the Winnipeg Police Service Professional Standards Unit entered into an investigation as a result of a complaint made against members of the Winnipeg Police Service by the 26 year-old male and 48 year-old female who were arrested for Assault Peace Officer.

As a result of the investigation it was determined that the complaint made to the Professional Standards Unit was fabricated.  After consultation with the Manitoba Prosecution Service, the following charges were authorized and the accused were arrested on Sept. 10, 2014.

Debbie Elizabeth JOHNSTON, 48 years-old of Winnipeg was arrested and charged with Public Mischief - report offence which had not been committed x 2. She was released on an Appearance Notice.
 
Adam Albert LAFORREST, 26 years-old of Winnipeg charged with Public Mischief – report offence which had not been committed.  He was remanded into custody.
