Thursday, May 17, 2012 GARAGE BREAK-IN & DAMAGE - ARREST C12-90176 On Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at approximately 2:57 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to the area of the 100 block of Arrowwood Drive North regarding a break-in to a garage, theft of property and damage to property at multiple locations. The male suspect responsible for these incidents fled from the area prior to the police arriving. The Flight Operations Unit attended the area and assisted with the tracking of the male suspect. With the assistance of the Flight Operations Unit and the Police K9 Unit, the male suspect was located and arrested in the first 100 block of Coralberry Avenue. HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION UPDATE - C12-90883 As previously released earlier today, May 17, 2012, at 11:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 600 block of Sargent Avenue for report of an injured male. Police arrived on scene and located an injured adult male. Paramedics attended and transported the male to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased. As a result of continued investigation by members of the Homicide Unit, an adult male and adult female are in custody in relation to this incident with charges pending. The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. The graduation ceremony will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Convention Centre, 375 York Avenue. Members of the public and the media are invited to attend.
