FIRE C12-88037
On May 13, 2012, at approximately 4:15 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a working fire at a residence located in the 300 block of Rose Hill Way.
 
As a result of the fire, damage was caused to a garage including two vehicles.
 
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
 
 
STABBING C12-87894
On May 13, 2012, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Uniform Patrol members were dispatched to a local hospital regarding a male in attendance suffering from an injury consistent with being stabbed.
 
At this stage of the investigation, a 52 year old male victim advised officers that he had been walking in the area of William Avenue and Ellen Street when he was confronted by three unknown males. He was then physically assaulted and stabbed.
 
The victim is in stable condition and no arrests have been made at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing.
 
 
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON INVESTIGATION C12-87788
On May 12, 2012, at approximately 10:25 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an assault incident in progress in the area of the 100 block of Lisgar Avenue.
 
Attending members located a 42 year old male suffering from injuries to his upper body. The victim is in stable condition.
 
Despite efforts to investigate the matter, the victim declined to provide officers with information regarding the incident.
 
 
ROBBERY INVESTIGATION C12-87829
On May 12, 2012, at approximately 11:10 p.m., officers responded to a robbery incident that occurred in the area of Notre Dame Avenue and Isabel Street.
 
Attending members met with a 47 year old male victim suffering from numerous injuries consistent with being assaulted and stabbed. He is in stable condition.
 
The victim related that he and a friend had just purchased a quantity of liquor when they were approached by a group of unknown males. The victim's friend was able to flee the area however the victim was assaulted and robbed of his property.
 
No arrests have been made at this time.
 
The investigation is continuing.
