COMMERCIAL BREAK-IN AND THEFT OF A PINK TOW TRUCK 
R12-39738
Sometime overnight on May 5, 2012 to May 6, 2012, a Pink, 1989 Ford F450 Flatbed Tow Truck was stolen from a locked compound in the 500 block of Munroe Avenue.  During this time the tow truck was used to facilitate a commercial break-in, in the 1500 Block of Dugald Road. A utility machine was loaded onto the flatbed of the truck and stolen from this location. 
 
 
       
 
On May 7, 2012 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the tow truck and utility machine were located abandoned in the area of Inkster Boulevard and Brookside Boulevard.

DRUG ARREST and SEIZURE – R12-36169  
On May 4, 2012, at approximately 9:30 p.m., as a result of an on-going investigation by members of the Winnipeg Police Service Organized Crime Unit, a traffic stop was conducted with two male occupants, and as a result of the traffic stop, the following items were located and seized:
 
  • Two Kilograms of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $100,000.
  • Small amount of pharmaceutical drugs.  
Two search warrants were executed at downtown locations, which resulted in further seizures of drug paraphernalia. As a result of this investigation the following charges have been laid.
 
A 29 year old male was charged with the following offences:
  • Possess for Purpose of Trafficking X2
  • Possession Drug Substance
  • Possess Proceeds of Crime (Canadian Currency)
 A 33 year old male was charged with:
  • Possess for Purpose of Trafficking 
 
 
Both males were detained in custody.
