LOST PROPERTY R12-42051
On May 11, 2012, the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of lost property involving a suitcase and its contents.
 
The complainant advised police that she had attended to the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport to pick up a family member. A suitcase was subsequently placed into the trunk of her vehicle, leaving the airport at approximately 5:15 p.m. Unbeknownst to the occupants of the vehicle; the trunk release button was inadvertently hit, causing a suitcase to fall out onto the roadway.
 
It is believed that the following items were lost somewhere between the airport and the area of Ferry Road and Ellice Avenue.
 
  • Suitcase – Green plastic with artistic background of a New York City scene, including a yellow taxi cab.
 

The suitcase contained the following items:
 
  • A memorial scrapbook containing photographs
  • A personal journal
  • Family genealogy
  • A battery charger for a prosthesis
  • Shoes
  • Jewellery  
These items have little monetary value, however deemed irreplaceable to the complainant and her family.
 
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating these items. If found, please contact the WPS Public Information Office at 204-986-3061 or the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport.
