Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Thursday, May 18, 2012 12:00 p.m.     HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION ARRESTS - C12-90883 As previously released May 17, 2012, that at approximately 12:21 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 600 block of Sargent Avenue for report of an injured male.   Police arrived on scene and located an injured adult male. Paramedics attended and transported the male to the hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Clarence William ROSS, 31 years old of Winnipeg.   The investigation revealed that shortly after midnight on May 17, 2012 the victim came into contact with the two suspects in the area of Maryland Street and Sargent Avenue at which time the victim was assaulted in the upper body.  Both suspects fled but were quickly apprehended by police a short distance away.    Devin Vernon WILLIAMS-WAPASH, a 19 year old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:   Second Degree Murder Warrant to Apprehend Breach of Probation X 2   Danyell WILLIAMS, a 22 year old female of Winnipeg has been charged with:   Second Degree Murder Both accused were detained in custody.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477)       For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
