STABBING INVESTIGATION           C12-92241
On Friday, May 18, 2012 at approximately 8:40 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service and other emergency personnel responded to the area of the 600 block of Main Street for report of a male who had been stabbed.
 
Police arrived at the location and found a 19 year old male with injuries to his upper body consistent with being stabbed. Winnipeg Paramedics attended and transported the male to hospital in critical condition where he was later upgraded to stable.
 
The investigation revealed that the victim while at a location in the 600 block of Main Street was approached by a male and an altercation took place resulting with the victim being stabbed.
 
The male suspect is described as follows:
  • Aboriginal in appearance
  • Approximately 30 to 40 years old
  • Short curly hair, goatee facial hair
The investigation is continuing by Division 11 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police at 204-986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
STABBING INVESTIGATION      C12-92532
On Saturday, May 19, 2012 at approximately 2:50 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 3000 block of Ness Avenue for report of a male who had been stabbed.
 
Police arrived at the location and located a 25 year old male with injuries to his upper body consistent with being stabbed. Winnipeg Paramedics attended the location and transported the male to the hospital unstable where he was later upgraded to stable.
 
The investigation revealed that the victim while at a location in the 3000 block of Ness Avenue came in contact with two males and one female; it was at this time an altercation took place, resulting in the victim being stabbed.
 
The following are descriptions of the suspects:
  • Suspect #1- Caucasian male, 6'1" tall, skinny build, approximately 165 pounds, bald head
  • Suspect #2 – Caucasian male, 6'3" tall
  • Suspect #3 – Caucasian, thin build, brunette coloured hair
The investigation is continuing by Division 12 Crime Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police at 204-986-2839 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
