12:20 p.m. Numerous Police resources including members of the Bomb Unit have deemed the area safe.  The area is open to predestrian and vehicular traffic. The Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank pedestrians and motorists for their cooperation. *** Further to this morning's advisory:  The Winnipeg Police Bomb Unit has now been deployed to the area.  The following street closures are in affect until further notice: East and west bound Ness Avenue between St. James Street and Madison Street. Thursday, August 16, 2012 10:20 a.m. POLICE INVESTIGATION Winnipeg Police members are currently investigating a suspicious item in the 300 block of Madison Street.  Pedestrians and motorists are requested to avoid the area until further notice.   For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
