Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Friday, August 10, 2012   SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT               C12-158222 On Friday, August 10, 2012 at approximately 1:05 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the 100 block of River Avenue regarding a suspicious incident.   An investigation revealed that an 11 year old male victim while playing in the area was approached by an unknown adult male suspect who attempted to convince the victim to leave the area with him.   The suspect immediately left the area when individuals who were nearby came to the aid of the victim. The victim did not sustain injury as a result of this incident.   The suspect is described as following:   Male Caucasian Approximately 6'0" tall Approximately 250 pounds Dark hair Wearing: Grey and white clothing, navy cap, sunglasses Male was carrying a duffle bag   Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 204-986-6222 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477)   For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
