BREAK & ENTER – ARRESTS C12-166882
On August 21, 2012, at approximately 5:35 p.m., WPS members responded to the 500 block of Dominion Street regarding a break and enter in progress.
 
The investigation has revealed that two male suspects initially attended to a residence located in the 1300 block of Wolseley Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. The suspects cut the screen to a window of the home and attempted to open it, however were unsuccessful. They then attended to a secured utility shed and forced entry. Damage was caused, nothing was stolen.
 
At approximately 4:00 p.m., the suspects forced entry into a home located in the 400 block of Sprague Street. The home was ransacked and a variety of property was taken. The suspects fled with electronics and alcohol.
 
At approximately 4:25 p.m., the suspects then gained entry to a home located in the 500 block of Basswood Place. Once inside, the home alarm was set off and the suspects fled the area empty handed.
 
Finally, the suspects attended to the 500 block of Dominion Street at which time they were observed attempting to gain entry to a home by an area resident. Police were notified.
 
Due to the efforts of the Division 11 Community Support Unit, Uniform Patrol and the Division 11 Crime Unit, a 13 year old male and 15 year male were located and arrested.  
 
Both males have been charged with: Break, Enter a Dwelling House x 5.
 
The 13 year old has been charged with: Failure to Comply with Sentence x 2.
 
The 15 year old has been charged with: Failure to Comply with Sentence.
 
They were detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
