STRONGARM  ROBBERY ARRESTS   C12-169272
As previously released - On August 24, 2012, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to a suite located in the 100 block of Roslyn Road regarding a stabbing incident.
 
The investigation revealed that two male suspects attended uninvited to a suite at this location. The suspects attempted to steal personal items from the 22 year old tenant and as a result an argument erupted. The situation escalated when one of the suspects produced a knife and stabbed the victim about the upper body.
 
The suspects who were known to the victim immediately fled from the location.
 
Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service attended and transported the victim to the hospital in unstable condition and he was later upgraded to stable.
 
On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at approximately 5:20 p.m., both male suspects were arrested and taken into custody.
 
Leonard Dalton GAVELIN, 18 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with: 
  • Robbery with Weapon and Failure to Comply with Sentence
 
Jarrett Albert ELLISON, 18 years old of Winnipeg has been charged with:
  • Robbery with Weapon and Failure to Comply with Sentence
 
Both males have been detained in custody.
 
 
SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

On Monday, August 27, 2012 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Emergency Services responded to the area of Brookside Boulevard and Inkster Boulevard regarding a serious motor vehicle collision. 
 
As a result of the collision, six people were conveyed to hospital and are in stable condition.
 
Winnipeg Police Service members are currently on scene investigating.
 
Brookside Boulevard south of Roy Roche Drive and North of Inkster Boulevard is temporarily closed to traffic until further notice.
