Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Saturday, August 18, 2012 FINANCIAL ROBBERY ARREST  C12-163483 On Friday, August 17, 2012 at approximately 11:48 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to the area of the 500 block of Sargent Avenue regarding a robbery of a financial institution. The investigation revealed that a lone male suspect wearing a disguise attended to this location and approached a 21 year old male employee. The male suspect demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the location.   As a result of an ongoing investigation by Winnipeg Police Street Crime Unit and the Major Crimes Unit, the male suspect was immediately located in the area, at which time he was arrested and taken into custody.   The male suspect is identified as:  Glen Thomas MUSKEGO, 40 years old   The ongoing investigation revealed, that on December 5, 2011 at 11:30 a.m., MUSKEGO wearing a disguise attended to a financial institution in the area of the 500 block of Sargent Avenue where he demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the area.   On July 24, 2012 at 4:00 p.m., MUSKEGO wearing a disguise again attended to same financial institution in the area of the 500 block of Sargent Avenue where he demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the area.   On August 7, 2012 at 9:55 a.m., MUSKEGO wearing a disguise attended to a financial institution in the area the 600 block of Notre Dame Ave.  The accused entered the bank and demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash. MUSKEGO fled from the area at this time.   On August 10, 2012 at 1:35 p.m., MUSKEGO again wearing a disguise attended to the financial institution in the area of the 500 block of Sargent Avenue where he demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the area.   MUSKEGO has been charged: Robbery X 5 and Disguise with Intent X 5 He has been detained in custody.    For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
