Winnipeg Police Service News Release

COMMERICAL ROBBERY- ARRESTS                       C11-97961
On Sunday, May 15th, 2011 at approximately 2:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service Members responded to gas station within the 800 block of Ellice Avenue for a report of commercial robbery that had just occurred by two male suspects. 
 
Upon arrival officers learned that both suspects entered the business and confronted the 25 year old male store clerk demanding cash and cigarettes.  When the clerk failed to comply with their demands, the pair turned their attention on two customers who were within the store.  Assorted personal property was stolen from the male customers, aged 38 and 53 years.  Prior to fleeing the store the suspects proceeded to grab some food and drinks items.
 
There were no injuries reported.
 
At approximately 2:45 a.m., as a result of the efforts of Division 11 Uniform Members both suspects were arrested at a residence within the 500 of Alverstone Street without incident.   
 
Two male youths, aged 13 and 14 years are facing three counts of Robbery with a weapon and failing to comply with court orders.  The 14 year old male has also been charged with disguise with intent. 
                   
They remain in custody at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
