Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Sunday, May 29th, 2011    HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – UPDATE - ARRESTS C11-94547 As previously released, on May, 10, 2011 at approximately 9:20 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Austin Street North after receiving a 911 call.   Attending members located 46 year old Solomon Joseph Andrew TURNER deceased within the home. An autopsy has been completed and the cause of death has been attributed to multiple stab wounds to the lower body.   The investigation has revealed that the victim became involved in a verbal argument with a male and female suspect. The argument escalated into a physical altercation at which time the suspects produced weapons and a proceeded to stab and assault the victim multiple times about the body. The suspects subsequently fled the residence.   Due to the efforts of members of the Homicide Unit, the following individuals have been arrested:   On May 11, 2011, Lloyd Alfred LINDSAY, 48 years was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder as a result of his alleged involvement.   On May 27, 2011, Wanda Lisa RAHMAN (Bruce), 32 years was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Murder as a result of her alleged involvement.       Both have been detained.     For further information contact either: Constable Natalie Aitken, Public Information Officer Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
