Saturday, May 21st, 2011 SUSPICIOUS DEATH INVESTIGATION C11-103363 On May 21st, 2011 at approximately 11:35 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to a downtown hotel located in the 200 block of Smith Street regarding a sudden death. Members of the Winnipeg Police Service were notified by hotel staff indicating that an adult male had been located deceased within a suite. Initial examination of the suite, including injuries observed appear suspicious in nature. The deceased is a 29 year old male. Family notifications are currently ongoing. Members of the Homicide Unit have been notified and is currently interviewing several individuals regarding the circumstance. The cause of death has not yet been determined pending autopsy results.
