Thursday, March 31st, 2011 STABBING C11-62374 On Thursday, March 31st, 2011 at approximately 12:45 a.m., Winnipeg Police Service Uniform Members, along with Emergency Service Responders attended to the area of the 700 block of Maryland Street for a report of two individuals that had been stabbed. Upon arrival officers located a 30 year old female and a 39 year old male suffering from stab wounds to their upper bodies. Both individuals were transported to the hospital in stable condition. Limited information has been provided to officers. This investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit. COMMERICAL ROBBERY C11-62216 On Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Winnipeg Police Service Uniform Members responded to a restaurant in the 200 block of Henderson Highway for commercial robbery that had just occurred. Officers have learned that a lone male suspect entered the restaurant while armed with a gun and demanded money from the 24 year old male clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash the suspect fled the store. The clerk did not sustain any injuries. The suspect is described as: Caucasian male, approximately 20 years, 5'8" tall and wearing a dark shirt. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect is asked to contact investigators from the Major Crimes Unit at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
