Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 INCREASE IN RESIDENTIAL MAILBOX THEFTS The Winnipeg Police Service has recently seen a spike in break-ins to apartment and condominium mailboxes throughout the city and therefore is recommending that residents check their mailboxes everyday. If you know that you will be away for an extended period of time, please make arrangements to have your mail forwarded, picked up or stopped during that time. Sensitive and valuable personal information is often sent via mail and can be used to facilitate other fraud related crimes.
