Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Friday, March 4, 2011    STABBING C11-43180 On March 3, 2011 at approximately 11:15 p.m., Uniform members responded to the area of Young Street and Sargent Avenue regarding a stabbing incident.   The investigation has revealed that an 18 year old male victim, in the company of a 20 year old male was confronted by two male suspects. The suspects demanded the victim's property at which time they were refused. It was at this time the 18 year old victim was stabbed and physically assaulted to the upper body. The suspects fled the area after robbing him of his baseball cap.   The victim was conveyed to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition.   The suspects are described as:   1 – Male, 20's, slight moustache, 6'00"in height and skinny build.   2 – Male, Caucasian, 20's, 5"10" in height and skinny build.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
