Winnipeg Police Service-News Release:

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012   12:00 PM   RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY C12-12778   On January 21, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence in the 1000 block of Henderson Highway.   The investigation has revealed that an unknown male suspect forced entry into the residence and demanded money. The unknown male struck the 88 year old female victim and began searching the home for property.   The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash prior to police arrival.   The victim was conveyed to hospital.   No arrests have been made and a suspect description is not available at this time. It has yet to be determined if the suspect was armed during the robbery.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.
