ROBBERY ARRESTS                                                                C12-4900
On January 8, 2012 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a group of youths and an adult male attended to the 300 block of Portage Avenue where they approached a 16 year old male victim, physically assaulted and robbed him of personal property. He was subsequently transported to hospital with injuries to his upper body.
 
Shortly after that incident the group attended to the 600 block of Spence Street, where they approached a 13 year old victim and physically assaulted him. Personal property was stolen from the victim and he was transported to hospital in critical condition with serious upper body injuries. He has since been upgraded to stable condition.
 
The group then attended to the 500 block of Langside Street where they approached a 23 year old male where they physically assaulted him and robbed him of personal property. He was conveyed to hospital in stable condition with minor upper body injuries.
 
Winnipeg Police were notified and members of Division 11 General Patrol and Canine Unit attended to the area, where one suspect was located. Division 11 Detectives were notified and led the investigation.
 
As a result of the investigation by Winnipeg Police Service members, the following arrests were made:
 
Two fourteen year old youths of Winnipeg face several robbery related charges and were subsequently detained at the Manitoba Youth Center.
 
A 19 year old male of Winnipeg faces several robbery and other various charges and was detained at the Provincial Remand Center.
 
One suspect remains outstanding and is being sought by police.
