Winnipeg Police Service News Release

COMMERCIAL BREAK IN- UPDATE ARRESTS  C11-181729
As previously released, on Sunday, August 28th, 2011 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service members responded to the Windsor Park Golf Course for a report of a commercial break and enter.
 
Upon arrival officers learned that several golf carts were damaged and numerous carts had been left at various locations around the course.  In addition, the golf course greens and irrigation system, had sustained significant damage.
 
At approximately 7:15 a.m. police were dispatched to the parking lot at the corner of Fermor Street and St. Anne's Road for a report of golf carts being driving in the area.
 
Officers loated a number of golf carts abandoned within the area of Fermor Avenue and St. Anne's Road, as well on the banks of the Seine River.
 
Damage to the Windsor Park Golf Course, which included 21 golf carts, is estimated to be in excess of $60,000.
 
As a result of the continued investigation by members of the East District Crime Unit, three females aged 18, 21 and 23 years, as well as a 20 year old male have been arrested in connection with this incident.   They will be facing charges of Theft Under and Mischief Over $5000.
