Monday, December 20th, 2010 FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION C10-288077 On Monday, December 20, 2010 at approximately 11:20 a.m., emergency crews responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the area of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street. The investigation has revealed that a Charter Bus was travelling northbound on Sherbrook Street when it turned eastbound onto Portage Avenue when it collided with a pedestrian walking northbound across Portage Avenue. The 67 year old female pedestrian was conveyed to hospital in critical condition. She has since succumbed to injuries sustained. The investigation is continuing by members of the Central traffic Unit. It is anticipated that Portage Avenue will re-open to all traffic by 5:00 P.M. Thank you for your patience.
