  Sunday, December 19th, 2010 

 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C10-286847
On December 18, 2010 at approximately 6:50 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a restaurant in the first 100 block of Osborne Street regarding a robbery incident.
 
It has been determined that a male suspect entered the business while armed with a knife and confronted an employee. The suspect produced the knife and demanded cash from the till. An undisclosed amount of cash was provided and the suspect fled the area on foot.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 6'00" in height, large build, mid to late 30's and scruffy facial area.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C10-286990
On December 18, 2010 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Uniform members were dispatched to a restaurant located in the 2000 block of Portage Avenue regarding a robbery incident.
 
The investigation has revealed that a male suspect entered the business, approached an employee, and requested to use the bathroom. Moments later, the employee heard a noise coming from the front counter area. The employee observed the suspect behind the front counter removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the till. The suspect then began to walk away when the employee followed. It was at this time the suspect pushed the employee (19 year old male) to the upper body and fled the area on foot.
 
The victim was not injured and no weapons were observed.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Caucasian, 6'00" in height, medium/large build, short dark hair and moustache.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
COMMERCIAL ROBBERY C10-287033
On December 19, 2010, shortly after midnight, Officers responded to a restaurant in the 1000 block of Portage Avenue regarding a robbery in progress.
 
Attending members discovered that a male suspect entered the business, confronted an employee, and began demanding that the till be opened. The armed suspect became increasingly aggressive and proceeded to strike the till several times with a knife.
 
The 21 year old male victim relinquished an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the area on foot. Prior to leaving the business, the suspect damaged a chair by striking it with the knife.  
 
Despite the efforts of Uniform members, including the Canine Unit, the suspect made good his escape.
 
The suspect is described as: Male, Aboriginal in appearance and skinny build.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact investigators at 986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
