Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

 

  Monday, December 20th, 2010

 
 
DISTURBANCE INCIDENT C10-288190
On December 20, 2010 at approximately 1:40 p.m., uniform members were dispatched to a school located in the area of the 200 block of Speers Road regarding a male youth causing a disturbance.
 
Due to safety concerns, the school activated lockdown procedures.
 
No one was injured as a result of the incident.   
 
Attending members located the male youth at his residence at which time he was taken into custody.
 
A 14 year old male is facing the following charges: Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose (knife) and Cause Disturbance.
 
He remains in police custody at this time.
