Friday, August 5th, 2011 3:30 p.m. HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION- UPDATE C11-163824 As previously released, on Friday, August 5th, 2011 at approximately 2:35 a.m. Winnipeg Police Service Members responded to the area of Stradbrook Avenue and Osborne Street for reports of a fight involving a large number of persons. Upon arrival, officers located an injured 27 year old male. Paramedics transported this male to the hospital in critical condition where he has since succumbed to his injuries. The victim's identity will not be released at this time pending ongoing notifications. Osborne Street has now been re-opened in both directions. The investigation is ongoing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or the suspect(s) is asked to contact investigators at 986-6508 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
