Winnipeg Police Service News Release

Friday, August 5th, 2011 11:00 a.m.       MISSING PERSON– ERIC RYDMAN- UPDATE      R11-68244 The Winnipeg Police Service is continuing to request the public's assistance in locating a missing 85 year old male, Eric RYDMAN.  Investigators are concerned for his well being.                                                     RYDMAN is described as Caucaisan, 5'7" tall, approximately 130 pounds, with balding grey hair and blue eyes.  He was wearing grey pants, a long sleeved white button up "Oxford style" shirt with thin stripes, and black shoes.    RYDMAN was last seen on July 19th in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  It is now believed that he may have left Moose Jaw on July 19th and began making his way back to Manitoba along Highway 2, stopping in Redvers, Saskatchewan.   This occurred no later than July 22nd, 2011.   He is still believed to be driving a brown, 4 door, 2007 Saturn automobile with Manitoba license plates ASL645.           Investigators have learned that RYDMAN has frequently used CO-OP gas bars in the past and enjoys drinking coffee at McDonalds restaurants.   Anyone with information regarding RYDMAN's whereabouts or who may have spotted this vehicle is asked to contact the Missing Persons Unit at 986-6250.     For further information contact either: Constable Natalie Aitken, Public Information Officer Constable Jason Michalyshen, Public Information Officer Office: (204)986-3061 Fax: (204) 986-3267 Email: WPS-PIO@Winnipeg.ca   Web: www.winnipeg.ca/Police
