Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Friday, August 19th, 2011     MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING CYCLIST – HIT AND RUN C11-174811 On August 19th, 2011 at approximately 1:55 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of Mountain Avenue and McGregor Street regarding a serious motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist. Attending members learned that the suspect vehicle had since fled the area.   The investigation has revealed that a 53 year old male cyclist had been travelling eastbound on Mountain Avenue near McGregor Street when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle turning south onto McGregor Street.
