INDECENT ACT ARREST - C12-144919
On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at approximately 8:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge regarding an indecent act.
 
The investigation revealed that an adult male attended to this area at which time he exposed himself while conducting an indecent act.
 
The responding officers immediately searched the area and located the male in the process of the indecent act. The male was arrested and taken into custody.
 
A 32 year old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:
·        Indecent Act – Public Place
·        Exposure to Person Under 14 
 
He was released on a Promise to Appear.
 
 
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT - R12-70728
On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at approximately 12:50 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service took the report of a suspicious incident that took place in the area of Rue Des Meurons and Handyside Avenue.
 
The investigation revealed that an 18 year old female victim was walking in the area, at which time a lone male suspect operating a vehicle approached the victim. The suspect exited his vehicle and attempted to take hold of the female, at which time she was able to flee from the location.
 
The victim sustained minor injury as a result of the incident.
 
The suspect male is described as follows:
·        Caucasian
·        Balding fuzzy blonde hair
·        Skinny build
·        Wearing a white tank top and jeans
 
The suspect vehicle is described as follows:
·        Older model (1990's) smaller two door rusty vehicle

COMMERCIAL ROBBERY – C12-145170
On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at approximately 4:00 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Commercial Robbery at a financial institution in the 500 block of Sargent Avenue.
 
The investigation has revealed that a lone male suspect entered the business and demanded money.  The suspect fled the business with an undisclosed amount of cash.
 
No one was injured during the incident.
 
The suspect is described as:
  • Aboriginal in appearance
  • 5'8" – 5'9" in height
  • Heavy build
  • Approximately 30 years of age
The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit.  Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
FIREARMS ARREST – C12-144908
On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at approximately 7:45 p.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to 1100 block of Garfield Street in regarding the execution of a search warrant.
 
A lone male within the residence was arrested and taken into custody.
 
The following were seized as a result of the executed search warrant:
  • 45 calibre hand gun
  • Assorted ammunition
  • 5 grams of Cannabis Marijuana
  • Half ounce of Powder Cocaine
Freddie Centeno GONZALES, 48 years, of Winnipeg has been detained in custody and is facing several firearm and drug related charges.
 
 
DRUG ARREST – C12-145500
On Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at approximately 12:05 a.m. members of the Winnipeg Police Service Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of General Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street.
 
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a ½ kilogram of cocaine with a street value of $24000.00.
 
The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 25 year old female driver was arrested for Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and was later released on a Promise to Appear.
