MALE WANTED – Eric Joseph Patrick CHARTRAND
C12-128919
The Winnipeg Police Service is requesting the public's assistance in locating 29 year old, Eric CHARTRAND.
 
CHARTRAND is wanted by police on an outstanding warrant for the following:
 
  • Overcoming Resistance to Commit an Indictable Offence
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
  • Break, Enter Dwelling house
CHARTRAND is described as: Aboriginal, 5'11" tall, 216 lbs., medium build, hazel eyes and long brown straight hair.  

  
Chartrand is not to be approached. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately at 204-986-6222 or 204-986-6048 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
STABBING – ARREST C12-131407
On July 7, 2012, at approximately 1:45 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block of Liberty Street regarding a stabbing incident.
 
The investigation has revealed that several males had become involved in an altercation after attending a house party in the area. Two male victim's sustained injuries consistent with being stabbed and have been identified as being 15 and 18 years of age. The 15 year old sustained serious upper body injuries and was initially listed in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable condition. The 18 year old victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries.
 
At approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the WPS Canine Unit located a suspect in the area of the 1600 block of Liberty Street. A 17 year old male is facing the following charges:
 
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 16 Crime Unit. He remains in police custody at this time.
 
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON – ARRESTS C12-131323
On July 7, 2012, at approximately 12:15 a.m., two male suspects confronted a 23 year old male victim in the area of Logan Avenue and Isabel Street. Without provocation, one of the suspects produced a weapon and assaulted the victim to the upper body.
 
Both suspects fled the area and eventually made contact with a second victim in the area of Higgins Avenue and Lizzie Street. Again, without provocation the suspects confronted and assaulted a 41 year old male victim.
 
Both victims sustained serious injuries, however are listed in stable condition.
 
Uniform Patrol members located and arrested both suspects in the area of the 300 block of Stanley Street. Officers recovered two weapons believed to have been used during the assaults.
 
A 14 year old male and 16 year old male are facing the following charges:
 
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Assault with a Weapon
Both males have been detained.
