Friday, June 8, 2012 SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION C12-104452 On June 3, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of a serious sexual assault incident involving a 24 year old female victim. The investigation has revealed that the victim was walking near a park in the Osborne Village area when an unknown male approached her requesting a cigarette. The victim provided the male with a cigarette at which time he engaged in further conversation. A short time later, the male began touching the victim inappropriately which led to a serious sexual assault. At the time of the incident, a passerby interrupted the assault causing the suspect to flee the area. The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-30 years of age, 5'8" tall, small to medium build, clean shaven, short brown hair, hazel eyes. Wearing: a dark hoodie, dark pants, carrying a black backpack. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 204-986-6245 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477). DRUG AND WEAPON INVESTIGATION ARRESTS C12-107506 On June 7, 2012, members of the Winnipeg Police Service Organized Crime Unit with the assistance of the Street Crime Unit, Tactical Support Team, Community Support Unit, Uniform Patrol and National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST) executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant at a residence located in the 500 block of Riverton Avenue. Four individuals were arrested in the area of the residence. As a result of the investigation, a vehicle was towed and searched by investigating members. The warrant was executed at approximately 11:25 a.m. The following items were located and seized:

The following individuals have been charged with numerous offences. Krista BLOOMFIELD, 21 years Kristen WADE, 30 years Wade SIRAN, 28 years Derek FUNK, 28 years They have been detained. ROBBERY INVESTIGATION ARRESTS C12-106478 On June 5, 2012, at approximately 11:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police responded to the 400 block of Main Street regarding a robbery incident. The investigation has revealed that four suspects confronted a 48 year old male victim and demanded his property. The victim was physically assaulted to the upper body. One of the suspects produced a piece of concrete striking the victim causing an injury. A second victim, a 55 year old male attempted to assist and was also assaulted to the upper body. Uniform Patrol members quickly responded and located all four suspects in the area of Main Street and William Avenue. A 20 year old male, 19 year old female, 18 year old female and 21 year old male have been charged with: Robbery with Intent. The investigation continued by members of the Division 11 Crime Unit.
