Winnipeg Police Service News Release:

Tuesday, June 19, 2012       BODY LOCATED IN RIVER – UPDATE C12-114018 As previously released, on Friday, June 15, 2012, at approximately 10:00 a.m., emergency responders attended to the east side of the Red River, just south of the north perimeter bridge, for a report of a body that was located in the river.   Since this time, an autopsy has been completed and there are no signs of foul play. This matter is not currently being investigated as a homicide.   The deceased adult female has not been positively identified at this time.   The investigation is continuing.     HOMICIDE – UPDATE 114979 As previously released, on June 16, 2012, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 1300 block of Fife Street regarding a fight incident.   Responding members located a male with serious upper body injuries. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition. On June 18, 2012, Marlin David GRAY, 36 years succumbed to injuries sustained.   Investigators have determined that an argument, which escalated, had taken place involving the victim.    No arrest(s) have been made at this time. Interviews are ongoing.   The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit.   For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
