Friday, June 22, 2012     SERIOUS SEXUAL ASSAULT C12-119078 On June 22, 2012, at approximately 2:10 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Osborne Street and Roslyn Road regarding a serious sexual assault that just occurred involving a 32 year old female victim.   Officers met with the victim who advised that that she had been walking in the area when she was grabbed from behind and physically assaulted. The victim lost consciousness for a period of time when a serious sexual assault occurred. The victim eventually fled the area and notified police.   The suspect is described as:   Male In his mid to late 20's Caucasian Short, dark hair 6'00" tall Average build The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.     SERIOUS SEXUAL ASSAULT C12-119110 On June 22, 2012, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded to the report of a serious sexual assault that occurred in the area of Portage Avenue and Colony Street.   Attending members met a 17 year old female victim who advised that she was approached by an unknown male and invited to a party nearby. The female walked away, however the male suspect followed.   It was at this time a serious sexual assault occurred.   The incident was interrupted by Downtown Biz patrol members at which time the suspect fled the area.     The suspect is described as:   Male Aboriginal in appearance Late 20's 5'7" tall Average/chubby build Acne on face Short black hair Possible moustache Wearing: a baseball cap and dark clothing The investigation is continuing by members of the Sex Crimes Unit.   Anyone with information regarding either incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6245 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).      For further information contact either: Patrol Sgt.
