SEXUAL ASSAULT – ARREST C12-10934
As previously released, on January 18, 2012 at approximately 11:45 a.m. a 19 year old female exited a transit bus at the intersection of Fermor Avenue and St. Mary's Road. An adult male exited the bus at the same time and headed in the same direction as the female. 
 
A short distance later the male suspect walked up beside the female victim and sexually assaulted her. The suspect then fled the area. The victim was not injured.
 
On May 4, 2012, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a 13 year old female attended to a mall in the St. Vital area of the city. As she was entering a building an unknown male walked passed her and sexually assaulted her to the upper body. The male left the area and the incident was reported to security officers.
 
As a result of an ongoing investigation, members of the East District Crime Unit arrested and charged a 30 year old male identified as: Huu Nhut LEE due to his alleged involvement.
 
He has been charged with:
 
  • Sexual Assault x 2
  • Sexual Interference
He has been detained.
 
 
SHOTS C12-119055
On June 22, 2012, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to the sound of shots in the area of Isabel Street and Pacific Avenue.
 
Members have learned that multiple shots were heard which resulted in damage to a residence in the 500 block of Pacific Avenue.   
 
No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this matter is asked to contact police at 204-986-6219 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TPS (8477).
 
 
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES C12-118795
On June 21, 2012, at approximately 7:00 p.m., officers attended to the vicinity of the 700 block of Simcoe Street regarding suspicious circumstances.
 
An unidentified item has been located where officers continue to investigate. This matter is in its early stages and no further information is available at this time.
