HOMICIDE – UPDATE – MALE WANTED C12-114979
As previously released, on June 16, 2012, at approximately 2:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 1300 block of Fife Street regarding a fight incident.
 
Responding members located a male with serious upper body injuries. He was conveyed to hospital in critical condition. On June 18, 2012, Marlin David GRAY, 36 years succumbed to injuries sustained.
 
Investigators have determined that an argument, which escalated, had taken place involving the victim.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit.
 
An arrest warrant (Manslaughter) has been issued for:
 
Abraham Marcel Steve LAGIMODIERE, 25 years
 
 
  
LAGIMODIERE is described as: Aboriginal, 5'10" tall, 248 lbs., heavy build, brown hair, and thin moustache.
 
Anyone with information regarding LAGIMODIERE's whereabouts is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-2848 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
 
 
OFFICERS ASSIST MALE IN RIVER C12-115704
On June 17, 2012, at approximately 1:30 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service, including other emergency personnel responded to a male in distress in the Red River, near the Louise Bridge.
 
Officers attended and located a male in the water, north of the bridge. One of the officers swam out to assist the male while additional resources attended to the area.
 
Members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service water rescue attended and the 15 year old male was safely taken to shore.
 
 
BREAK AND ENTER ARRESTS – GROW OPERATION ARREST

On June 19, 2012, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue regarding a break and enter in progress.
 
The investigation has revealed that three males forced entry into the home. Upon arrival, officers observed a male removing property at which time he fled back into the residence. In a second attempt to flee, the male smashed out a window, however he retreated back into the home when police were observed. Two males were subsequently arrested inside the residence as a result of the break and enter.
 
While investigating, officers located an active grow operation within the home. Members of the WPS Drug Unit were notified and a Controlled Drug and Substance Act search warrant was obtained. 
 
The following was located and seized:
 
  • 535 Marihuana Plants – estimated street value of over $599,000.00
  • Grow Operation Equipment valued at $7000.00
  • 100 grams of loose marihuana – valued at $1000.00
A 42 year old male and 27 year old male are facing charges regarding the Break and Enter and Theft.
 
A 49 year old male occupant is facing drug related charges.
 
The investigation is continuing by members of the Division 13 Crime Unit.
 
 
RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER – ARRESTS C12-116970
On June 19, 2012, at approximately 9:55 a.m., uniform patrol members, including members of the Tactical Support Team responded to a break and enter incident at residence on Ash Street.
 
Two suspects forced entry into the home and removed a quantity of property. They fled the area on bikes.
 
At approximately 10:05 a.m., responding members located two male suspects in the area of Wellington Crescent at which time they were taken into custody. Property was recovered at that time.
 
A 31 year old male and 28 year old male are facing the following offences:
 
  • Break and Enter
  • Possession Break-in Instruments
They were detained.
