Update – Missing Person Brian Hurst Located Deceased - R14-71306
As previously released - the Winnipeg Police Service had requested the public's assistance in locating a 61 year old male, Brian HURST.  Mr. HURST was last seen leaving his residence in Winnipeg on September 27, 2014 and was believed to be travelling to the Kenora area.
                                                                                                                  
On Tuesday October 7, 2014 shortly before 8:00 p.m., the OPP were notified that hunters in the area located Mr. HURST'S 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport on a trail in the Gordon Lake Road area.  The vehicle was locked and undamaged. The OPP and Northwest Region ERT commenced a search of the surrounding area. 
 
On Wednesday, October 8, 2014, the body of Mr. HURST was located on the shoreline of an unnamed lake, in the vicinity of his vehicle.

Foul play is not suspected. A post mortem is pending.

The Winnipeg Police Service would like to thank the public and members of the media for their assistance.
